Bruce L. Moon at Cousin Andy’s
Cousin Andy’s Coffee House welcomes singer-songwriter Bruce L. Moon on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and music will start at 7:00 pm. The house concert will be at our Redbud Hill venue, at 411 N. 9th Street, Murphysboro, IL. Parking is available along the street, or at the city parking lot to the south between the courthouse and police department.
Coffee, tea and cookies will be available or BYOB.

Bruce L. Moon is a singer-songwriter, painter, and performance artist with 33 albums on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and other streaming platforms and more than 350 YouTube videos. He performs regularly at house concerts, colleges and universities, and small concert venues. Bruce believes that good music ought to comfort people who have been afflicted in the world and afflict people who are too comfortable. As one recent concertgoer said, “Bruce’s songs and stories make me laugh, let me cry, and push me to think about my life.”
Bruce holds a PhD in creative arts and two master’s degrees from a Methodist Seminary, and he worked for 22 years with art therapy at a private psychiatric hospital and 20 years as a college art therapy professor. In the folk/Americana music genre, his songs often refer to encounters with people who have been marginalized or disenfranchised in society, as well as commenting on current issues in the world and holding a subtle soulful quality.
